The Department of Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapy specializes in the rehabilitation of oncology patients, according to their medical and psychological needs, symptoms and complications of tumors, and our staff keeps abreast of everything new in this field.
The therapist’s main job is to restore organ function, improve mobility and gait, relieve pain, and avoid or reduce motor impairments.
Occupational therapy is concerned with training patients to carry out daily activities, and training in movement skills. The occupational therapy team also directs the patient’s family to understand his needs and promote his independence.
The department provides its services to inpatients, as well as outpatients, since more than 3,500 sessions are conducted at the institute annually.
